Venue and Transportation
The 30th International Symposium on Human Identification will be held at the Palm Springs Convention Center. Once the home to The Rat Pack, Frank Sinatra, Bob Hope, and Lucille Ball, Palm Springs now boasts a variety of restaurants, shops, spas, and attractions – all within minutes of the Convention Center.
We have negotiated a limited block of rooms at hotels within walking distance of the Convention Center. These rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and government rate rooms will sell through early. Please note that government rate rooms are for U.S. government employees only and identification will be required upon check-in. Please contact Tara Luther with any questions.
SCAM ALERT- You may receive an official looking email from a company called Global Expo Travel offering discounted rates at hotels in the Palm Springs area. This company is not affiliated with ISHI and has not been authorized to represent the conference. If you have booked a room through Global Expo Travel, Travel Partners International or another 3rd party supplier be aware that these companies book rooms for a commission and the hotels they recommend may not be up to the standards you are expecting. You may be left without a room or given a substandard room without the ability to request a refund or remedy.
At this time there are still rooms in the blocks at both conference hotels recommended on our website.
Renaissance Palm Springs Hotel
We’ve secured a block of rooms at the Renaissance Hotel, which is attached to the convention center. A limited block of rooms will be available at the a rate of $189 per night, a limited number of government rate rooms are also available. Any cancellations must be made 72 hours in advance.
Hilton Palm Springs
A room block is available at the Hilton Palm Springs, one block away from the convention center. There are a limited number of rooms available at the rate of $185 per night. A limited number of government rate rooms are also available. Rooms must be booked by August 20, 2019 to receive this rate, and a deposit of one room night will be collected during booking. Please note that cancellations must be received 72 hours in advance.
While early reservations are recommended to take advantage of discounted rates, please be sure to cancel your reservations prior to August 20, 2019 if you are unable to attend or you cannot use the reservations. This will make the rooms available for other attendees and will help ISHI avoid the financial penalties associated with cancellations made after the room block closes.
*Please note: companies such as Convention Housing Services, Expo Housing, BookMyRooms.com, and Convention Expo Travel have not been contracted by ISHI to book attendee rooms during the symposium. These companies are not related to our meeting, and were not provided attendee or exhibitor contact information by ISHI. To book your hotel room, please use the link above, or the link found on your registration confirmation page.
