Chief of Forensic Services – Genetic Genealogy Investigations, Florida Department of Law Enforcement

Lori Napolitano is the Chief of Forensic Services of the Genetic Genealogy Investigations program with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.  The program has over 15 cases in progress and has resolved three cases.

She has been with FDLE for 29 years.  In addition to working in her current role, Lori was the director of Orlando Crime lab for 6 years and also worked in Investigations for several years as the supervisor of the Investigative Intelligence Unit.

Her genetic genealogy experience began 3 years ago with her own family’s adoption issue and she has helped several other people as well.  Now that genetic genealogy has intersected with law enforcement she is able to apply her skills to help investigators solve crime.
