Forensic Biology Supervisor / DNA Technical Leader, Metro Nashville Police Department Crime Laboratory

Tabitha received a Master of Science in Pharmacy and a Certificate in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Florida, and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Western Kentucky in the field of Recombinant Genetics with a minor study in Chemistry.  Over the years, she has continued her education in forensics through additional course work at the University of Kentucky and regional, national, and international workshops and conferences.

Tabitha Bandy began her forensic career with the Kentucky State Police in September, 2000.  In 2006, she took a position as a DNA Analyst III for Orchid Cellmark Nashville, where she enjoyed the opportunity of working cases from across the United States and Canada, including Los Angeles, Houston, and Detroit.  She has testified as an expert witness in Texas, Ohio, Indiana, Tennessee, and Kentucky.  In March 2010, she accepted a position working in Forensic DNA in Southwest Asia.  After returning to the U.S., Mrs. Bandy accepted a position with Metro Nashville Police Department as the Forensic Biology Supervisor, DNA Technical Leader, and CODIS Administrator.
