Building Your Dream Job While Making Work Fun

Building Your Dream Job While Making Work Fun

Description:

In this workshop, we hope to help case-working analysts fall (back) in love with their job. We will first identify our collective strengths and favorite tasks and focus on how to build a job where analysts can do more of what they love and inspire a stronger team. We will then discuss creative ways to spice up our least favorite tasks and improve our weaknesses. Discussion will cover everything from testimony to technical review to casework approach and efficiency (and more!), all with the goal of making work more fun, more efficient, and less stressful.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Strengthen laboratories by utilizing members to their full potential.
  • Inspire analysts to build jobs where they can do more of what they love – or at least find more enjoyment in what they are doing.
  • Identify areas of growth opportunity and obtain creative ways to encourage skill development and process improvement in laboratories.

Intended Audience:

Crime Lab analysts, Supervisors and Technical leaders
