Billy Sethatho

Billy Sethatho is a Chief DNA Expert in the Botswana Police Service, currently heading the DNA Testing Unit of Botswana Police Forensic Science Services. He holds a MSc Science degree in Forensic Science from University of Strathclyde in the UK and has over 20 years of experience as a forensic DNA expert. Over the years his main duties included analysis of human DNA identification cases, such as those of homicides, sexual assaults and other serious offences and presentation of DNA evidence in courts of law in Botswana. He was one of the pioneers in establishing the Botswana DNA Database, having gone through training by FBI on the CODIS platform. He is currently the database administrator of the Botswana DNA Database.
