Venue and Transportation

The 37th International Symposium on Human Identification will be hosted at the Rhode Island Convention Center in the heart of Providence. Nestled between Boston and New York, this vibrant capital city offers historic charm, a thriving culinary scene, and easy access from major airports and transportation hubs.

With its walkable downtown, scenic riverfront, and rich cultural heritage, Providence provides an inspiring setting to step away from the lab and immerse yourself in cutting-edge forensic science. While your days will be filled with engaging workshops, poster sessions, and expert-led presentations, your evenings can be spent exploring cobblestone streets, world-class cuisine, and thought-provoking art.

Hotel Deposit Policy:

Please note that a first-night deposit (plus tax) will be charged at the time of booking to secure your reservation. This deposit is refundable up to three days before arrival. This policy is common for conferences, including competing forensic conferences, and may vary each year based on ISHI’s hotel contracts. If you plan to use a different credit card for final payment at check-in, you may request a refund to your original payment method at that time, subject to hotel policies. For specific inquiries, please contact the hotel directly.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at ISHI@promega.com.

Omni Providence Hotel

Make the most of your ISHI experience by staying at the Omni Providence Hotel, the official host hotel. Connected directly to the Rhode Island Convention Center, the Omni puts you just steps away from sessions, networking events, and everything downtown Providence has to offer.

Standard rate rooms will be available for $239 per night, with a limited number of government rate rooms offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

You’ll be able to book your stay when conference registration opens in early Spring 2026.
