Lilly Moreno is a Research Biologist within the DNA Support Unit at the FBI Laboratory. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Puerto Rico, her MA in Biomedical Sciences from UCC School of Medicine and both her MS in Forensic Sciences and PhD in Chemistry from Florida International University. Lilly plays an integral role in the Rapid DNA testing and advancement efforts at the FBI where she also oversees evaluation and validation efforts pertaining to Next Generation Sequencing technology and other chemistries and technologies in support of the Biometric Units at the FBI.
Dr. Moreno has worked with the SWGDAM Rapid DNA committee to develop guidelines for the Rapid DNA instruments and continues to actively participate in SWGDAM within the Laboratory Operations Committee.
