Raman Sandhu-Kirmer is a Forensic Scientist Technical Leader with the Mesa Public Safety Support Forensic Laboratory, bringing over 20 years of experience in forensic biology, DNA analysis, and laboratory operations. She oversees technical procedures, quality assurance programs, and compliance with accreditation standards, while continuing to perform casework and technical reviews.
Previously, Raman has served as a Forensic Scientist III in Mesa and held multiple forensic science roles with the New Mexico Department of Public Safety, where she specialized in DNA and serology analysis and provided expert courtroom testimony. Raman has also worked as a Senior DNA Examiner with Signature Science LLC, focusing on complex DNA interpretation and method validations.
She holds a Master of Science in Forensic Science from National University and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Sciences from The Punjab University, and is currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in forensic science from the Oklahoma State University.
