Meet ISHI Exhibitors: Copan

Travis chats with Elisa Piovanelli, Business Development Manager at Copan. She discusses their portfolio of products available for DNA laboratories such as various swabs and DNA storage solutions. She also discusses the MicroFLOQ® DNA collection tool featuring a micro flocked swab-head co-developed by French Gendarmerie Forensic Research Institute (IRCGN™) and Copan. MicroFLOQ® enables you to obtain a 24 DNA markers profile in less than 2 hours, skipping the DNA extraction step. This is possible thanks to the lysing treatment applied on the fibers, which breaks the cells upon contact. Elisa also shares possible products to come in the future.
